Algaia S.A. announced yesterday the transfer of its headquarter from Paris to Lannilis, in the presence of Loïg Chesnais-Girard, President of the Brittany Region.

This move assesses the strategic importance of Algaia’s production unit in which the company focused the major part of its investments the past few years. Biggest buyer of French seaweeds, Algaia confirms, if need be, the essential role played by Lannilis in the double-digit growth registered since 2017.

A strategic location and a growing portfolio of products
Lannilis production unit benefits from an exceptional geographic location only 20 kilometers from the second largest brown seaweed field in Europe. Therefore, Algaia is able to process locally harvested fresh seaweed and extract natural ingredients and actives for the agrifood, cosmetic and nutraceutical industries.  The company also inaugurated its new production line of liquid extracts targeted at bio-stimulating solutions for agriculture.

« The transfer of our headquarter and the opening of this new production line mark a turning point in Algaia’s development », stated Fabrice Bohin, Algaia CEO. « Our objective is clearly to unfold the whole potential of the brown seaweeds from the Mer d’Iroise, with the help of all the players in the seaweed sector, and to develop tomorrow’s natural and eco-friendly solutions for manufacturers ».
