Two of our leading experts, Franck Hennequart and Benoit Queguigneur, will be speaking at the upcoming International Seaweed Symposium, highlighting latest research in seaweed science and innovation.
🎤 On May 5th, Franck Hennequart will present on:
“Mechanisms of Action in Plant Biostimulation Behind Key Seaweed Compounds”,
as part of the Biostim Almap and Locality Projects, exploring how specific algae-based compounds drive plant growth and resilience through natural pathways.
🧪 And Benoît Quéguineur will speak on:
“Algae4IBD : Innovative and Cost-Effective Solutions for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients from Algae”,
showcasing the potential of seaweed compounds to support gut health and address chronic inflammatory diseases.
Several posters will also be presented, showcasing the breadth of expertise and cross-disciplinary innovation of the Algaia team:

- TEXMATER – novel cellulosic fibres and bioformulations for textiles’ finishing using macroalgae as an alternative resource for the textile industry
