Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Energy Transition, has presented the National Roadmap for the Development of the Algae Industry, alongside Frédéric Faure, Treasurer of the Cluster Algues Bretagne and CEO of Algaia, Vincent Doumeizel, Senior Advisor on Oceans at the United Nations Global Compact, and many key industry players.
A strategic plan that will give new drive to our sector!
Key objectives of the roadmap:

Improve the governance framework and regulations;;

Support and strengthen business resilience and competitiveness ;

Structure scientific and technical studies and projects in the areas of knowledge, research, technology and innovation ;

Increase societal awareness and acceptance of the business of producing seaweed and seaweed products ;

Promote French excellence in international dynamics.
This ambitious plan will strengthen France’s leadership in the global algae market while supporting sustainability and blue economy goals.
