Frédéric Faure, our Managing Director, together with Olivier Le Nezet, President of the National Fisheries Committee, met Emmanuel Macron, the President of the French Republic yesterday as part of the Agricultural Show.
It was an opportunity to have a first exchange on the strategic importance of the Breton seaweed industry for France.
A dynamic French sector that brings together seaweed fishermen, shoreline seaweed harvesters and many manufacturers, including Algaia, the leading processor of harvested seaweed in France.
Frédéric Faure was thus able to highlight to the Head of State the strengths of our sector:
- a quality raw material from the Iroise Sea
- a sustainable and structured harvesting supply chain
- unrivaled scientific recognition (CNRS, IFREMER, etc.)
- and of course, a growing and innovative industry, in which Algaia takes part.
We are proud to contribute to promoting our sector at the highest level in order to support the growth of our beautiful industry.
Seaweeds provide natural solutions to many markets. They are a unique resource to meet climate challenges and build the agriculture of tomorrow.
With seaweed the future is on!
