Algaia is proud to host Manal Bouasria in its St Lô laboratories.
Manal is a PhD student from ESITC Caen School of Civil Engineering who is in her final year of thesis in Eco-technical Construction.
She develops and tests thermal insulation panels (see example in the picture) by incorporating algae with a particular focus on the role of alginates in these insulating materials.
Thanks to Manal and Prof. Yassine El Mendili, teacher-researcher at ESITC and Manal’s Thesis Director for their research work contributing to the development of new algae-based construction materials.
